How to Choose Binoculars
Some useful hints when choosing binoculars for the first time.
Higher magnification does not necessarily mean better images.
Magnifications between 6x to 10x are recommended for handheld outdoor use. With magnifications of 12x or higher, shaking caused by hand movement is more likely to occur and result in an unstable image and uncomfortable viewing. Generally, the higher the magnification, the narrower the real field of view.
The wider the field of view, the easier it is to locate an object. If the magnifications are identical, the larger the value of real field of view, the wider the field of view.
High-eyepoint binoculars with eye relief of 15mm or longer are recommended for eyeglass wearers. Choose binoculars with eye relief of at least 10mm.
Choosing binoculars or monoculars that are waterproof is strongly recommended. Nothing is worse than having a fogged or disturbed view during the most beautiful times, when animals are the most active.
Sometimes not being able to spot a wild animal when hunting outdoors can become dangerous, therefore, make sure to invest in the best optic, always.
